The 100-mile ride is fairly challenging, with one large climb and a series of rolling hills as the route approaches Hood River. However, frequent beer and food breaks help dull the pain. Also, the downhill off the back side of Mt. Hood is so much fun you'll forget how much work it was climbing to the top of the pass.
The breweries/rest stops for Bikes 'n' Brew 2010 in the order that we'll visit them.
- Hair of the Dog Brewing (Portland, OR) (Tentative, depends on the brewmaster's schedule.)
- Joe's Donuts (Sandy, OR) Not a brewery, obviously, but a great place for a rest stop nonetheless
- Mt. Hood Brewing (Government Camp, OR)
- Elliott Glacier Public House (Parkdale, OR)
- Double Mountain Brewery (Hood River, OR)
